2012 Fund a Need Update!

Starting at the 2012 Imagine the Possibilities Gala and through an end of the year online appeal, donors raised more than $18,000 in Fund a Need dollars! With these donations, we have been able to purchase:

 A New SMART Board and AV Equipment
for our new day habilitation center at Rosewood Drive!
6 iPads!
6 YMCA Group Memberships!
12 Need to Feed Shares!
17 Linens and Things Packages!

This support allows us to purchase new technology for our programs such as SMART Boards and iPads, increase wellness with group YMCA memberships and provide food, warmth and comfort for those without a home.

Thank you again to all our online and event donors for making this year’s Fund a Need such a success on so many levels!

SMART Boards:
SMART Boards encourage and support therapeutic activities related to mental health recovery, development and education, communication needs and more.

iPads:
iPads are widely used by people who have communication disorders. Many individuals in Bridgewell’s services have limited or no speech – an iPad can act as their voice.

YMCA Memberships:
Local YMCA’s offer group rates to Bridgewell programs providing flexibility for anyone in the program to attend as a member at no cost. This encourages individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Need to Feed Packages:
Bridgewell will be able to purchase seasonal shares of fresh vegetables from a group of local farmers.

Linens and Things Packages:
These packages included a comforter, sheets, blanket, a set of towels and pillow – necessities that our homeless population cannot afford.
