In an effort to keep families and guardians informed, President & CEO Chris Tuttle has implemented a twice-weekly phone message.

Hello Bridgewell Parents & Guardians. I am Christopher Tuttle President & CEO and today is Monday, April 13.

As of this morning, we have five people in our services who have tested positive. All of them are doing well and are recuperating in quarantine in their rooms. We currently have 20 staff who tested positive for COVID-19 and thankfully two people who have recovered and are returning to work. There are a handful of people who have been tested and we’re awaiting for those results. I will continue to keep you updated.

We were notified over the weekend that Massachusetts’ Department Developmental Services has partnered with Fallon to begin offering mobile testing of individuals and staff in our homes. Eligible for this testing are homes where there is a current positive test or someone who is displaying symptoms consistent with Covid-19. All individuals and staff within the home can be tested. This will expedite treatment and hopefully slow down the spread of the virus.

Testing for Individuals requires parent or guardian consent. In the event your loved one is eligible for testing, we will need your help to provide approval as soon as your Program Director reaches out to you. Thank you in advance for your prompt response on this.

The next recording will be posted on Thursday, April 16 by noon.

Until then, please be well and be safe.
