The workshop focused on adaptive technology for people with dysphagia, difficulty swallowing or increased risk for choking and aspiration.

Attendees first watched a short media clip of how food is pushed through the esophagus, and then moved from station to station learning more about diet textures, thickening liquids, adaptive technologies and tools as well as what foods are safe and unsafe for people with dysphagia.

Pictured above are some of the Bridgewell staff members who presented at the Safe Eating Expo.
