September 17th was Special Olympics Night at Fenway Park.
The Red Sox provided Special Olympics MA with 300 discounted tickets to the Red Sox vs. Orioles game and Bridgewell athletes and staff purchased 50 seats.
Various Special Olympics athletes from all over MA took part in various game ceremonies such as the throwing out the first pitch, serving as honorary bat boy/girl and announcing players names.
The former CEO of Special Olympics Massachusetts Bob Johnson sang the national anthem.
The Sox didn’t win, but it was a nail biter right down to the final pitch! It was a great game and everyone had a blast!
