Bowling for Bridgewell: Pins for Possibilities

Wrapping up Bridgewell’s month-long Celebration of Community, Bowling for Bridgewell: Pins for Possibilities was a success! Close to 100 people joined us at our first bowling event at Gametime Lanes & Entertainment in Peabody. Guests enjoyed bowling, mingling and appetizers, and those not interested in bowling enjoy axe-throwing and pool.

Through sponsorship, event tickets and raffle donations, Bowling for Bridgewell: Pins for Possibilities raised more than $18,000 in support of Bridgewell’s programs and services. Amy Sutton took home the Highest Score trophy, and Lynn Lewis won New England Patriots tickets through the Gameday or Payday Raffle. The prize was generously donated by Lancelot Janitorial.

“Bowling for Bridgewell was a success on many fronts – a fun, casual evening that brought together a wonderful mix of Bridgewell supporters – long-time community partners, individuals and staff from our services, volunteers, and some new friends who we hope will grow their involvement with Bridgewell. I had a great time bowling and having a chance to talk with attendees in a relaxed setting. Kudos to the Gametime team for helping to make it such an enjoyable evening for everyone.”

While this was the inaugural year for Bowling for Bridgewell: Pins for Possibilities, Bridgewell’s Celebration of Community series of activities held each October is now in its fifth year. Celebration of Community activities connect participants from our programs, their family members, and our employees and volunteers, with our partners and supporters in the communities we serve. This year included a Day of Service, Bridgewell Formal, Trunk or Treat Halloween events, and more. In the past it has included a blood drive, food and canned goods collection, and other fun initiatives to convene and celebrate our shared community.

Celebration of Community also allows Bridgewell to increase awareness of the impactful work our team does each day for the more than 7,200 people in our services across northeastern Massachusetts, and it includes opportunities to donate in support of Bridgewell’s vital mission.
