Thank you to Bridgewell’s Fund a Need Donors!

Supporting Bridgewell’s Fund a Need Auction and Appeal provided so many meaningful opportunities for the individuals Bridgewell serves, including adaptive technology, enriching experiences, sensory tools, wellness supports, and everyday essentials that help make their lives fuller and connect them to their communities. Here are just some highlights of how your donations have been put to work:

Technology and Education: FAN support helped the Kelly J. Martin Center day habilitation program purchase a new Smartboard and iPads, giving individuals access to tools that build communication, learning, life skills, and independence.

Health and Wellness: Support also helped provide wellness opportunities such as art and music therapy, fitness classes, gym memberships, and adaptive exercise equipment. This year, the Kelly J. Martin Center added a NuStep exercise machine with adaptive tools to help individuals facing mobility challenges.

A Sense of Home: For people in Bridgewell’s affordable housing, recovery, respite programs, basic items such as toiletries, linens, clothing, groceries, backpacks, and school supplies can make a new start feel more secure. Lotus House was able to purchase backpacks and school supplies for the children living there just in time for back-to-school.

Enriching Experiences: FAN gifts created memorable experiences across Bridgewell programs. More than 25 individuals cheered on the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium, 50 people from our Individual Supports program enjoyed a summer day at Canobie Lake Park, and participants from Johnson Street and Lotus House recovery programs enjoyed a Boston Harbor Lunch Cruise.

Care and Connection: Your support helps Bridgewell provide the care, connection, and comfort our teams strive to offer every day. We are excited to host our 3rd Annual Bridgewell Formal on Friday, October 2, at Spinelli’s in Lynnfield, an evening for individuals receiving Bridgewell services to dress up, dance, socialize, and celebrate with friends from across our programs – an experience many of them have never had.

This is just a selection of examples of how your commitment to caring has made a meaningful difference for the people Bridgewell serves.

Thanks to generous supporters like you, individuals across our programs are enjoying more moments of connection and life enrichment that would otherwise not be available to them.
