This November, Career Specialist Ashley Smallwood was recognized for providing outstanding service as a Job Developer Professional at the All Partner’s Meeting for the NorthEast Employment Collaborative (NEEC). The award was presented by Kristianne Widman, Co-facilitator and Employee Liaison for NEEC (a part of Riverside Community Care). In her nomination, Bridgewell’s Employment Support Program Director Amanda Nolan wrote:

Ashley puts in a 110 percent in everything she does. Since her time at Bridgewell, Ashley has been a core part in re-shaping the Community Based Day Supports program and the Employment Program at Boston St. Employment (apart of Bridgewell). Ashley is passionate, motivated, and well organized. She often goes above and beyond to assist the team when help is needed. Ashley inspires her team by constantly coming up with new ideas to integrate our individuals in the community and by means of employment.

Through the NEEC, Ashley and other Bridgewell staff serve on the Job Developers Network. The purpose of the Job Developers Network is to share job leads to increase the amount of opportunities for people with developmental disabilities to find employment.
