Transition of Care from the Inpatient to the Community Setting

Rory Bloom is a clinical nurse educator who holds a BA in psychology from UMASS, Amherst and a BSN from Curry College.  Rory has a dynamic professional background that includes working as a counselor in a group home; an outreach counselor for adults with mental illness; a telemetry nurse; a medical device product monitoring analyst; a drug safety analyst; and more recently, working for a level 1 trauma hospital leading their value analysis/cost containment program.

The goal for this presentation is to provide support to, and initiate discussion with, all of us as community providers as we support our mutual clients who suffer from schizophrenia in their transition to the community.

The Bridgewell Counseling Services Distinguished Speaker Series has held a series of presentations for clinicians and mental health professionals in the greater Lowell area.
