In May, the Bridgewell Nursing Team gathered at Gould Barn in Topsfield to celebrate National Nurses Week.
Twenty of the 35 Bridgewell nurses were able to attend the celebration where they enjoyed good food, laughter and participated in a “Blessing of the Hands” for healthcare workers. Mary Jo Shea- McCormack RN, Chaplain and ordained minister for All Care VNA, facilitated this blessing.
This year’s theme was community. Director of Healthcare Jane Bell, RN, discussed the need for the nursing team to be unified, collaborative and helpful to one another just like in any good community. She also shared a lesson from the book “Cutting for Stone.”
In the medical field when all else has failed there is always one thing left that we can offer – compassion for our patients, families, community and ourselves.
“I am very grateful to have such a dedicated nursing team with good heart at the center of their decision makings,” said Bell. “Thank you, Bridgewell nurses!”
