Over 20 individuals at Rosewood Drive and Boston Street Employment Supports programs are working as bell ringers for the The Salvation Army’s annual kettle campaign this holiday season.
They are ringing bells and singing Christmas carols outside of local grocery stores, including Market Basket and Stop & Shop in Reading.
This is a group-supported employment opportunity, which means the individuals are learning under the direct supervision of trained staff members while working in the community as a group.
To date, they have raised over $6,000 for The Salvation Army and truly love the experience.
This a a great partnership both for The Salvation Army and Bridgewell. Individuals can work on building employment skills while giving back to the community.
