Bridgewell Hosts Around the World for Employees

Bridgewell’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee held an Around the World event for employees on May 17 at the Bridgewell Headquarters. It was a fun way to gather and celebrate the many diverse cultures and backgrounds of our Bridgewell team through dance, music, food and fun activities!

Asian, Caribbean, Hispanic and Mediterranean foods from local restaurants was served, as well as entertainment from DJ Gonzalo Jimenez, Rara Bel Poze Haitian Rhythm Band, Saint Vasilios Greek Dance Group and Kenyan performer Simon Waruhiu Mwangi. Other activities included a henna artist, international trivia, and dancing! The committee plans to host this event annually and grow it even larger next year.

Bridgewell’s work around DEIB has been noticed by the community. Following last year’s Nonprofit of the Year award as part of INCredible Awards hosted by the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce, Bridgewell was a finalist for the Champion of Diversity Award this year. This recognition highlights Bridgewell’s ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion and community leadership. Despite not being chosen as the award winner, this speaks to Bridgewell’s commitment to DEIB.
