Bridgewell Welcomes Jennifer Burzyk as Nurse Practitioner

PEABODY, Mass, September 22 – Bridgewell, a local nonprofit providing social and human services empowering people with disabilities and other life challenges to live safe, self-directed and productive lives, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Burzyk, APRN as Nurse Practitioner for Bridgewell Counseling Services in Lowell, MA.

As a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Burzyk has vast experience in the medical and behavioral health care fields. She has worked in a wide array of healthcare service capacities, including providing medication management for behavioral health issues in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings and attending to medical needs in primary care offices, community settings, and hospital settings. In addition to seeing patients at Bridgewell, Burzyk currently works completing health risk assessments for medically and psychiatrically compromised patients working to improve the care needs of these patients and ensure all care needs and services are provided for to better the outcome of these client’s care.

Burzyk is an Honors Program Graduate from Worchester State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in health education. She went on to complete her Family Nurse Practitioner training at the University of Massachusetts and her post masters training in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing at Rivier University.

During her visits, Burzyk completes a thorough assessment of each client, fully explains patients’ conditions, is sensitive to the uniqueness of everyone’s situation, and works with the clients to develop a treatment plan that accommodates for their individual needs and concerns.
