Bridgewell’s Safety Committee

Meet Simon Kvilhaug, Health & Safety Specialist

Last November, Simon has joined the Human Resources Department as Health & Safety Specialist. In this newly created position, Simon is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety related state and federal regulations, management of the Bridgewell safety program, and coordination of the Workplace Violence Prevention Program.

Since he started he has visited over 90 of Bridgewell’s programs to conduct safety assessments and training. He’s built up the membership of Bridgewell’s Safety Committee, as well as worked to create Safety Awareness Campaign. He will be working to maintain compliance with new and updated safety regulations as well as increase the impact of Bridgewell’s Safety Program, and further engage employees in practices to increase the safety of our staff and individuals.

Simon is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security and brings to Bridgewell experience in risk assessment, safety program coordination and security. He is also an active member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
