Champion Award: Victoria Baker of Pride’s Deli

Bridgewell is proud to announce this year’s Champion Award recipient: Victoria Baker of Pride’s Deli and Pizzeria! For over six months, Pride’s Deli has been employing about a dozen Bridgewell team members. Responsibilities include cleaning tables, washing windows, folding boxes, preparing dressings, watering the flowers, and making deliveries. Thank you for all you do, Victoria!

About the Award:

Now in its 5th year, the Champion Award is presented annually to one of Bridgewell’s employment partners in recognition of their contributions for helping individuals with disabilities be valued and appreciated members of the work force. Honorees are selected based on the following criteria:

  • Community Business Employment Partner – Nominee must be an employee of a contracted Community Business Partner or an employee of a company where an individual from Bridgewell’s Employment Support Program works. Bridgewell employees are not eligible.
  • Goes Above and Beyond – Nominee displays the desire to do more than what is generally required in a role and makes a difference in the life of a person in our services.
  • Creates an Inclusive Environment – Nominee understands the importance of inclusion in the culture and other social aspects of a workplace.
