Program Director Betsy Stockwell and Assistant Program Director Amanda Murray surprised staff during Direct Support Professional Week with little gifts to say thank you and raffles supported by local businesses. Staff was recognized every day of the week with little gestures – donuts, hand sanitizer, life savers, gum and the week ended with a staff lunch.
Throughout the week, there were raffles for donated gift certificates from local restaurants. Raffle prizes were drawn by a different individual at Boston Street Day Habilitation Center each day. Thank you to the following local businesses who donated:
“Betsy and I really wanted to show our staff how much the work they do is appreciated,” said Assistant Program Director Amanda Murray, who said this was the first year they did something like this. “Every little gesture was recognized and appreciated by our staff. They expressed how thankful and appreciated they felt.”
Thank you to all our DSP and thank you to Betsy and Amanda for organizing and recognizing Boston Street staff!
