A grant of $10,000 from the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation is giving a big boost to Bridgewell’s Vocational Interest Program (VIP).
VIP provides employment support and training to individuals in Lynn who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. Services include an intake assessment to identify and address barriers to employment; trainings on resume development and interviewing, workplace professionalism, and computer skills; and personalized support from vocational counselors.

“Eastern Bank is especially interested this year in supporting organizations that are addressing issues of workforce development. It’s through organizations such as Bridgewell that we can help individuals change the course of their life” said Laura Kurzrok, Executive Director of the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation. “We’re proud to support Bridgewell’s efforts in this very important area.”
Recognizing that participants are without many basic resources, VIP also provides a professional office environment that participants can use as a mailing address, along with a telephone voicemail box and internet access, including a personal e-mail account.
Support comes through the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation’s Partnership Grants program. Warm thanks to Eastern Bank for joining Bridgewell as we empower homeless individuals in our community to build a brighter future!
