More Gardens from Kinship Farm!

Thank you to Kinship Farm for installing new gardens at two of Bridgewell’s residential programs in Lynn this spring. 

Seven homes now have gardens thanks to Kinship Farm, which in addition to helping supplement our menus with healthy homegrown vegetables is providing a source of activity and pride to residents.

Additionally, a small group of gardeners, Eric, Bill and Rob braved a very rainy day and helped their peers purchase seedlings from a plant sale run by Three Sisters Garden Project in Ipswich and have enjoyed planting the new gardens with their friends.

It’s more than gardening! The Bridgewell gardeners enjoy checking on the gardens weekly, weeding, watering and harvesting vegetables when they are ready, in what has become an additional opportunity to engage in activity outdoors and socialize with each other and the residences that they visit.
