Last month, the Special Olympics Fall Classic was hosted by the Hogan Regional Center and Special Olympics Massachusetts. This year’s event was attended by approximately 250 individuals from Hogan, Bridgewell, and Class, Inc.
The Special Olympics Fall Classic provides an opportunity for individuals with intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities to engage in a day of interactive fun activities in an inclusive, supportive, and non-competitive environment. Some activities in the 2017 Fall Classic included bowling, softball batting, drum circle, many interactive displays, and shooting baskets. A DJ provided musical entertainment during lunch, followed by an awards presentation, during which all attendees receive their own special medal and lots of cheers.
As in the past, the Fall Classic was organized by the Hogan Regional Center, with assistance provided from Bridgewell and Class, Inc. employees. Additional assistance for the event was provided by student volunteers from the Clark School, North Shore Technical High School and Endicott College.
Thank you all for organizing such a great event!
