Last month, Bridgewell intern Naguy Priscille Nseka Nsingi attended an Urban Youth Collaborative event at the Massachusetts State House with Bridgewell’s Retention and Recruitment Manager Brad Bitler.

The Urban Youth Collaborative Program (UYCP) places high school and college interns in provider agencies, such as Bridgewell, as well as state-operated programs, and developmental centers across the Commonwealth in jobs providing support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Priscille works in Bridgewell’s training department and supports the team by managing all MAP-related materials, training sessions, the weekly schedule and orientation week. Through her internship, she obtained her FA/CPR, MAP, and PABC certifications. And she had the opportunity to visit several of our programs and housing units to meet and interact with some of our individuals.

“Observing the interaction between our staff and the individuals provided me with additional insight and understanding about their daily lives,” said Priscille. “Overall, my internship at Bridgewell provided various benefits for which I am grateful, as well as influencing my future professional path.”

She is currently a student at North Shore Community College and studying business administration. She plans to transfer to a four-year college and pursue a career in human resources.
