Wheelchair Training 2023

Each year, Bridgewell’s Training Department undergoes an organization-wide wheelchair securement training! Over 875 people have been trained this year, with new employees completing the training during orientation. The safety of the people we serve is paramount in our work and Bridgewell formalized and standardized this training.

The training includes a video and both online and in-person lessons to provide a comprehensive look at the entire process of wheelchair securement in our vans. Every staff person is required to show competency by moving through the process from start to finish, it’s a busy month but worth it to help the people we serve to be safe and comfortable in transport!
