Residents in one home have been very creative on how to stay busy during this self-isolation. From making bead necklaces to word puzzles to arts & crafts, they are enjoying each day and doing something new!

What have you been doing to stay active while self-isolating? One of our homes had a camping day filled with sing-alongs, stories around the campfire, and a scavenger hunt throughout the house. They even set up a tent, and of course, what is a camping day without some s’mores!

In practicing social distancing and keeping those in our care safe, residential programs have transitioned in-person therapies to virtual including music provided through
Roman Music Therapy Services! Music therapists have been setting up group sessions at Bridgewell homes– and our residents are loving it. 🎶 🏡 💻

The Easter Bunny made special deliveries to our 70 residential homes this past weekend. A heartfelt thanks to staff for their contributions, D’Orsi’s in Peabody and Josie’s in Wilmington for donating cookies and Topsfield House of Pizza for donating frozen pizzas and chips. Since our residents are unable to have visitors, one house set up twice a week virtual lunches with parents and guardians. Here, residents are able to have lunch, see their families and enjoy everyone’s company, all while staying safe. This lunch session included make your own pizzas, egg decorating and catching up on all the fun things they’ve been doing!

Front-line staff who work in 24/7 residential programs, recovery programs, and mental health clinics – all which remain open and are essential-have stepped up and met this crisis head-on.

Appreciation has been seen across our programs. Seen here are residents, Dana, Bill, and Frank, showing their appreciation by making colored hearts with the name of each staffer and taped them to the front door for staff to see when they arrive.
