Giving Back Isn’t Canceled: Join us in Empowering Hope this GivingTuesday

In this time of uncertainty, there is a fundamental truth that gives us hope – that together we can do extraordinary things. Over the past few weeks and months, the entire world has come together to stand up, to help out, to give back, and to heal. Whether that is through donating to community organizations like Bridgewell, celebrating doctors and nurses at shift changes, or reaching out to a neighbor to help with groceries; generosity has been helping the entire world get through this global pandemic together.

Bridgewell is participating in #GivingTuesday on December 1, 2020, the global day of unity and giving. Our organization has been working diligently to adapt to the challenges COVID-19 has brought. We have been focused on housing and recovery services, as there have been more than 53,000 evictions since the beginning of the pandemic, and since late June, 40% of U.S. adults reported struggling with mental health or substance use.

Bridgewell works in coordination with hospitals, the criminal justice system, and community agencies to help individuals find their path to recovery and a better future. Recovery programs, like our Drug Diversion Program, have adapted by providing telehealth counseling to those struggling with substance use disorders. Fourteen women have graduated from our Women’s Program, Johnson Street in the past year. In addition to treatment and support, Bridgewell continues to foster and encourage prevention methods and substance use education for at-risk youth. With your support, we help people get back on track to self-sufficiency through our person-centered approach.

Our housing programs have also pivoted significantly to provide housing during COVID – we successfully housed 21 individuals this year alone. Our Recuperative Care Center has pivoted to receive enough funding to stay open through June but needs additional support to stay open long term. By donating on December 1st, you will be providing a lifeline to members of the community who need it most.

But we cannot do this without you!

Not only do we need your support; we need your help to spread the word. Please tell your friends and family why you believe in Bridgewell and the work we do and encourage them to support us too!

Join the movement today! Help us reach our goal of $10,000 on December 1, 2020 as part of #GivingTuesday. Donate, share, and encourage others to do the same.

Donate today by texting BRIDGEWELL20 to 44-321 or by donating here!

Thank you for being a part of the Bridgewell community. Together, we can empower hope.
