Last month, Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy of Lynn and her Chief of Staff Jamie Cerulli came to visit the Women's Group at Bridgewell’s Boston Street Center.
Earlier this year, the Women’s Group wrote a letter to Michelle Obama and received a letter back from the First Lady, which inspired them to reach out to other influential woman in politics. The Group wrote a letter to the Mayor, who graciously responded quickly saying she would love to visit.
In preparation for her visit, the Women’s Group came up with a list of questions from light topics (Do you have a dog?) to heavy topics (What is Medicaid doing to help people living in nursing homes and Day Habs?) Mayor Kennedy answered all the questions, and learned more about Bridgewell's program.
Everyone had a great time. Thank you Mayor Kennedy for visiting!
